Annual Alumni Giving
During the winter months of each year, the Association seeks donations from its members in order to make a financial contribution to the ASU Foundation at our annual Mid-Winter conference. In administering gifts, this chapter acts in a fiduciary capacity. All gifts are administered in strict compliance with the instructions of the donor. When a gift is not accompanied by instructions, it is administered as an unrestricted gift; that is, it is used to fulfill the greatest needs of Alcorn State University as determined by the essential faculty representative and the President of the University. In the event that a donor requests the establishment of special funds, such as scholarship funds, the alumni association recommends that details of such a request be worked out by the donor and the financial secretary for this alumni association, and written instructions for the administration of the funds be drafted and signed by the donor and the financial secretary for this chapter.
